New Ambassador to the United States of America, His Excellency Ethelstan Angus Friday. |
“The presentation of credentials is a traditional ceremony that marks the formal beginning of an Ambassador’s service in Washington,” said a release from the White House on Monday.
Ambassador Friday was appointed the new Ambassador after the Dr. Keith Mitchell-led New National Party (NNP) won the February 19, 2013 General Elections. Dr. Friday had previously served as a diplomat for the NNP as a Permanent Resident to the United Nations Mission, but lost the job when the National Democratic Congress won the July 2008 General Elections. Gillian Bristol served as Grenada’s Ambassador to the USA from 2009 to 2013.
The other new ambassadors, who were at the Oval office, are:
Her Excellency Marisa Maria Louise Micallef, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta;
His Excellency Kaare Reidar Aas, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway;
Her Excellency Anne Anderson, Ambassador of Ireland;
