Police confiscate 124 pounds of cannabis

Police made yet announced big drug bust, seizing more than 100 pounds of cannabis but no one was arrested.

A joint operation by officers attached to the Drug Squad, Special Services and Coast Guard units late last week, has resulted in the discovery of 124 pounds of Cannabis at Hog Island.

According to police, two men who were detained for questioning in connection with the drugs, were subsequently released without being charged.

Police said that the matter continues to be under investigation. Police were unable to confirm the amount of cannabis confiscated so far for 2013. (LS)
